All-inclusive golf holiday packages in the Himalayas offer cultural experiences of Nepal, world-renowned golf courses on some of the world’s highest fairways, five-star luxury accommodation, the opportunity for local sightseeing and helicopter transportation through breathtaking scenery, including the snow-covered peaks of Everest’s foothills. Combine cultural activities, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and unique activities with a round of golf at every opportunity, whilst enjoying all the comforts of home in a five star luxury resort.

Golf Tour in NepalFor non-golfers, the trip is equally accommodating. Indulge in luxury spa therapies and Ayurvedic treatments at the Hyatt’s Oasis Spa. Imagine a relaxing massage or beauty treatment delivered by highly skilled beauticians amidst some of the most impressive mountain scenery in the world. Boutique shopping, sightseeing and outdoor adventures can all be combined in a wonderful golf vacation in Nepal.

Gokarna Forest Golf Resort

This impressive luxury resort is one of South Asia’s finest hotels with a golf course designed by Gleneagles Golf Developments. Built to USGA specifications, the Bermuda grass fairways of the Gokarna Golf Club weave through the centuries-old Gokarna forest, watered by winding streams of melted glacier water. Once the hunting ground of the kings of Nepal, shy deer and chattering monkeys watch your progress, whilst the stunning mountain views distract at every turn. This is a 6,715 yard, par-72 course in Nepal’s former Royal Forbidden Valley.

Owned and operated by the owners, one of the world’ finest hotel names, the sixteen private cottages are arranged around the restored Hunter’s Lodge where the restaurant, bar and amenities are worthy of any Royal Shikari. With a decadent Harmony Spa and a well-equipped health club, the Gokarna Forest Golf Resort has something for everyone.

Pokhara Golf Resort

A round of golf on the 6,900 yard par-73 Himalayan Golf Course at Pokhara is a must for any golfing connoisseur. Venue of the Nepal Surya Western Open and designed by Sandhurst commissioned officer, Major Ram Gurung MBE, it takes the challenges of golf in the Himalayas to new heights in a majestic canyon setting beside, and sometimes in the middle of, the Bijaypur river. The Fourth “Island” hole is one of the most unique holes in the world.

Bhaktapur (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Bhaktapur means "the city of devotees" in Nepali language. It is also known as Bhadgaon and was founded in 889 AD by King Anand Dev. Today it covers an area of four square miles and is flanked by Khasa Khusung and Hanumante Rivers. The palace complex in the middle of the city portrays the prosperity of the Malla years and the details at which the crafts people then worked. The Palace of Fifty-five Windows stands in the square, which was also home to many kings of Bhaktapur. The kings of Bhaktapur ruled over Kathmandu and Patan from the 12th century to the 14th century.

The massive gate to the square was constructed by King Bhupatindra Malla (1697 to 1722) who took pride in his own engineering and building skills. His skills must have been impressive indeed as the gate, though it looks small now, was among the biggest in the Valley. Among the other monuments in Bhaktapur are the big bell, the Golden Gate, the five-tiered temple of Nyatapola (scene of the film Little Buddha), the Bhairab Temple, and the Dattatreya Square with its woodcarving and metalwork museums. Client Reviews

My husband and I went on a trek in Nepal this past August, and we had a fabulous time. It was truly the most unique, beautiful outdoor travel experience that either of us have ever had. For anyone considering trekking in the Himalayas, we highly recommend Raj Tamang as a guide. His company, Responsible Adventures (www.responsibleadventures.com) and (www.notjusttreks.com), is professional and customer-service oriented. We were amazed at the ways that Raj and his employees went above and beyond to make this experience memorable for us. Raj is a 'walking encyclopedia' of information about the culture and history of Nepal, and his confident, welcoming nature put us at ease. He was experienced at facilitating positive, genuine interaction between Himalayan villagers and Western trekkers such as ourselves, and that made all the difference in our 10 days touring the Manang valley. His company offers a service that is truly a cut above the rest.

We can't wait for another opportunity to trek with Raj! Feel free to check out our story and pics at www.joshandelise2008.blogspot.com
