I am very happy to announce the
launch of my website at long last. The web portal for my company
Responsible Adventures is www.notjusttreks.com
The launch
of the website coincides with my 40th birthday and for oriental
people it is the year of the dog. The Chinese consider the
year of the dog as an auspicious time to begin new businesses
and in the West they say life begins at 40; there you go I
am hoping that this belief will work in my favour. Of course
a lot will depend on you passing the word around and bringing
traffic to my site.
When you and your family and friends
visit my website, you will see I have provided a free calendar
download with pictures taken by me. Please tell people about
it.
In the near future there will be downloadable
brochures. I would appreciate your inputs of jokes, quizzes
and articles of what you think would be interesting for future
newsletters.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions
at all. Any and all feedback will be very welcome.
Lately you must have heard of the negative
exposure in the media about the political situation. Well
media only provides what sells the most…bad news. A
lot of people have met or heard about what the majority of
my countrymen are like. They are keen to go out of their way
to make your needs be met, nothing is too much trouble for
them. These are the real people of the country not a handful
of people bringing negative attention to this wonderful country
for their personal gains. The desire of the majority of the
Nepalese people is to work to support their families and get
on with their lives.
Responsible Adventures doesn’t
wish to lure you to Nepal with a false sense of security just
to get your business. We too aren’t fools willing to
endanger our lives. For those of you who have trekked with
me or been here in Nepal you know that as long as you don’t
go to the “HOT SPOTS” you will not be harmed.
Speaking of safety, where is it really safe today after 9/11,
the train bombings in Madrid and London? The racial riots
in France, Iran wanting to go on with their nuclear program
and Hamas coming to rule Palestine to name just a few.
We have to learn to keep living in our
current environment, Go on, live dangerously! Come trekking!
Hoping to see you in the near future.
Best regards
Raj Tamang
Founder of Responsible Adventures
