Img Our goal at Responsible Adventures is to be more then just a trekking company, in fact, we even named our website "not just treks" because we are so much more.

For example, at Responsible Adventures we have staff trained as Wilderness First Responders so we can 1) be prepared for any emergency with our clients and 2) to help the regions in which we work when ever the need arises. This is what we mean when we say that we are "responsible," and this is the guiding premise for our company.

Responsible Tourism

Responsible Tourism is not just a buzzword to be thrown around like a frisbee on a sunny afternoon. Here at Responsible Adventures we make sure each trip is just that: responsible in regards to the lands on which we travel. And we don't sacrifice fun and enjoyment of the surroundings and the people just because "being responsible" is a serious endeavor. We make sure all our adventures are fun, safe, and pay back the community in many ways.

For example, our team comes from the regions in which we take you. This provides much needed livelihood and income for the folks back home. We pay decent wages and use local products whenever we can. We also participate in programs and charity events that help villagers and rural communities improve their lives and the environment in which they live. We believe in transparency and open communications with those that share their habitats with the visitors that we bring to visit. Our company strives to be a conduit for a sharing of culture and ideas...we are serious about helping facilitate a global community through responsible tourism. In short, we are not just treks, we are a lot more.

Customer
That’s you. You are most important to us and we make sure that you get the treatment that you deserve.The smallest detail is given our utmost attention throughout your trip and there may even be a few little surprises along the way to add to your experience. You can be assured of an exciting and breathtaking holiday.

Employees
We say our biggest asset is our staff of happy porters, talented support crew, and expert trek leaders.We value our staff highly... after all happy staff makes happy customers. We have handpicked and trained all our field staff. The are not only capable of making your treks easier, but will also entertain you with singing and dancing some nights. Here at Responsible Adventures we have a committed fair-trade approach. Sometimes porter/sherpa teams can be neglected and so we pay our staff a generous wage to help them make a better life for them and their families. There are a whole lot of porters and Sherpas hoping to jump into the Responsible Adventures bandwagon to improve their living conditions and work in a dignified work environment. It is due to our handpicked and highly trained employees that we can proudly say we provide unparalled trekking service in the Himalaya.

Charity
We have been connected with local charities for sometime and a percentage of the tour cost goes towards helping these charities. There may even be a chance to visit the places and see what your contribution has provided.

Profit
This comes last on the list because we want to share our beautiful country with you and help make a better life for the people in and around Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and India. We are committed to making a difference to this small part of the world.
